"Trois Morceaux de Salon - No. 1" Sheet Music by Ermanno Picchi
"Morceaux de Salon - No 1."
This is the first of three works for violin and piano titled "Morceaux de Salon", dedicated to G. Giovacchini, one of the most distinguished students of Ferdinando Giorgetti, the renowned violinist, composer, and professor at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, Italy. These chamber music compositions are characterized by their elegance and refinement, representing the style of early 19th-century Italian instrumental music. This critical edition is based on the first musical publications from 1849, correcting typographical errors, dynamic markings, and some bowing indications. I believe it is essential to provide future generations with an authentic and philologically accurate interpretation of Ermanno Picchi's musical legacy, preserving the historical integrity of a figure so significant in the 19th-century musical landscape.
