with Piano;“Risus” draws inspiration from laughter, understood not only as an expression of joy but also as a disturbing form of narration. Through a tight dialogue between trombone and piano, the piece alternates between broken fragments, sudden tensions and more ironic or suspended moments. The two instruments chase each other, interrupt one another, and mirror each other like characters in a surreal theatrical scene. The result is music that plays on the theme of the smile: balancing lightness and disorientation, playfulness and emotional dialogue.
