Style: Ballad (Flugelhorn Featured) Satin 'N Glass offers a magnitude of ranges and dynamic levels. In Bar 3 brass enters with a “cold” no vibrato sound. The ice melts in bar 8, using a bit of vibrato to warm the sound. Bar 43 offers an opportunity for the band to bridge a large dynamic range, eclipsing at bar 49 and carried strongly through bar 52. It offers itself again at measure 59 through to the end. Listen to this recording on my CD Night Flight for a warm, emotional and very musical interpretation.
