Ranked number 11 in Rolling Stone magazine’s Top 100 Guitarists of All Time, George Harrison is best known for his time with the Beatles as the lead guitarist. An interesting fact: in 1999, a man broke into Harrison’s home and called George out. He attacked Harrison, stabbing him over 40 times and puncturing one of his lungs. After the attack, Harrison gave a statement saying the man “wasn't a burglar, and he certainly wasn't auditioning for the Traveling Wilburys." In 2001, at age 58, after a fight against lung cancer which over time had spread to his brain, and after undergoing radiation and surgeries, Harrison’s health was in decline and he passed away on November 29th. He will always be remembered for his legendary skills on guitar, and of course many hold him as their favorite Beatle. Though most of their songs were written by McCartney and Lennon, most of the Beatles’ albums included at least one song written by Harrison, including “Here Comes the Sun” and “Something.” Here you can download the sheet music for each of those songs and many more.
