McKinley Morganfield, better known as Muddy Waters, is a blues musician from Mississippi. Despite his state of origin, he is known as the “Father of Chicago Blues.” He was given the nickname “Muddy” by his grandmother because he liked to play in the muddy water of a nearby creek.
