The Pink Panther Sheet Music

The theme song for the movie of the same name, The Pink Panther, came into the world back in 1963, composed by Henry Mancini. It was a nominee for an Academy Award for Best Original Score at the 37th Annual Academy Awards. With an infamous tenor saxophone solo and a composition in the key of E minor, it quickly became a crowd favorite.

Despite always being perfectly animated to the motions and movements of the animated Pink Panther character, the song was released as a single and reached the Top 10 on the U.S. Billboard Adult Contemporary Chart – and went on to win three Grammy Awards.

Over the years there have been many versions of this composition – and it has made its way into many popular video games, movies, and TV shows. This is in addition to all of the Pink Panther films that have been released over the years.

Henry Mancini has always been well-known for his composition of “Moon River” from Breakfast at Tiffany’s and the soundtrack for the TV series, Peter Gunn. In all, the late Mancini has contributed music to over 100 movies and TV shows, and has also recorded 90 albums.

He was a well-rounded musician whose compositions and talent gave us The Pink Panther and so much more.

Let your mind (and fingers!) create the actions and movements of Pink Panther as you perform this composition. Those who are listening are surely going to be envisioning the pink detective, too.

We have several versions of this piece available, scored for string and/or jazz ensemble, various levels of piano, guitar tab and even organ.
