No, not the ones with the flashing lights in your rearview mirror -- it’s the infamous British rock band led by the legendary musician Sting. Hitting number one in 1983 on both the UK Albums Chart and the US Billboard Top 200 with their album Synchronicity, The Police were the first New Wave rock group to achieve real success and popularity. Throughout the rest of their career, which ended in 1986, they received six Grammys, two Brits, and an MTV Music Video Award. In 2003, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Some of their top hits include, “Every Breath You Take,” “Don’t Stand So Close to Me,” and “Every Little Thing She Does is Magic.”
